THE LANDSCAPES

An evocation of the spiritual impact of light on the landscapes of Dorset, Sussex, Suffolk & The Balearics. "There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it." Edith Wharton

THE ABSTRACTS

An abstract exploration of the Aurora Borealis or the Dance of the Spirits. 'Their appeal is to the imagination by the suggestion of something wholly spiritual.' Robert Falcon Scott on The Aurora

JJ's paintings reflect the transient impact of light on the landscape capturing the colour transformations it creates throughout the seasons. Her work is inspired by the landscape, the natural world and the effect this has on the human spirit. These elements inspire her work capturing colour, emotion and life force.
